Rock On!
Recently, we gathered up all the stones and shells that have accumulated in our house from our travel collections. We carefully placed them in a cast iron tub that sits in our driveway (Once upon a time I intended to remodel our bathroom). Instead, the rocks got the spa treatment: rain water, sunshine, moonlight, gentle massages, lots of love and admiration.
While the stones soaked, Magic Mama rocked the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis. It was nearly a hundred degrees with about 98% humidity. Still, some hearty folks managed to perform "cheese puff solos" while hula hooping! Notice the Peace Pirate Ship in the background....
We're preparing to set sail!
Behind the scenes in the air-conditioned recording studio designed by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and used to record Janet Jackson.... add to that line up - Magic Mama's Baritone Ukulele, a hand spade, djembe and bamboo flute for Renegade Spade
Some of the Crew keepin' it cool "back stage"
And back at the ranch with the rocks, Steve Bateman's "Bomb Girl" sculpture landed in my milkweed.
"Red Light" still rockin' and resplendent in the kale
And the ultimate success story of our five years in Eau Claire, WI.... monarchs now have a new landing pad for feeding, breeding and pollinating
