Makeshift Drum
For the recent full moon, we planned to circle round a fire with the group of volunteers here at Finca Fruicion. Jason had taken all the hand drums with him to a festival so I decided to make one using a couple of scraps of wood, some bent nails and cellophane tape I found in the bodega.
Sawing a couple of boards into four equal lengths to make a square frame
Looking for nails with the least curves
Two nails in each end - framed!
Tape has to be pulled tightly, stretched across the frame one way, then the opposing direction
At last, tape is stretched diagonally to make an X in the center for added strength. Sage found a nice sized stick and sanded each end.
A Magic Mama sticker for the finishing touch!
