Farm Punks
Photos from the Renegade Spade recording sessions this winter!
Meet some Farm Punks:
Greg rocks the washtub! He also throws pots and sells his ceramics at art fairs during the summer months. He recently bought a used ambulance to convert for his tours. Some Driftless folks know him best as the beer man at our local food co-op and, he's a ping pong champ.
Ed also has a few CD's of his own, is busy managing a small farm with his family, helping at a local CSA and raising 2 young girls among other things
Across the street from the recording studio is the Village Green House, owned by the drummer of Freaks of Nature
Raj'r runnin' the board! He uses loopers in his own musical performances and also happened to have been a part of a recording project at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, capturing the sounds of nature in Star Valley. We used some of those samples on Song for the Birds, field recordings can be purchased here

Indigo playing with garage band while I'm in the next room strummin'
Next day at a friend's house in town, we added Mike's upright bass and mandolin parts
Mike has his hands in a few pots - Owner of Fizzeology, fermented veggie business and Field Control Therapy practitioner to name two
One of the things I appreciated about this Farm Punk project is that all the guys I worked with are dads who have made their kids a priority in their lives. Thanks for showin' up guys!
Not pictured is the Kickapoo Home School Choir group that did the vocals for the call and response portion of High Fives N Hand Shakes - Thanks!
